Agencies across Texas to participate in anti-DWI campaign

Agencies across Texas to participate in anti-DWI campaign | Arlington | News from Fort W….

How ironic that on this the Fourth of July weekend in which we celebrate our nation’s independence, law enforcement agencies across Texas are gearing up to violate our freedoms and rights under of the Fourth Amendment of the U.S Constitution. In Texas, I guess it’s alright for law enforcement officers to poke a needle in your arm against your will, but its not ok for TSA agents to conduct pat downs at the airport. I would take up a pat down over someone poking a needle in my arm against my will any day. When is the public going to wake up and see that both are violations of our rights and freedoms! When are we going to learn that the need to feel safe and secure does not give the government the right to infringe and tread upon our rights and freedoms given to us. Of course, there are many Texans and Americans in general that often willingly throw away their rights because some government official or some organization with some agenda tells you its for your safety and security that we take your freedoms. Once they take your rights away, do you think they are going to willingly give them back to you? So as you are celebrating the Fourth of July this holiday weekend, ask yourself are you a person that celebrates and cherishes our freedoms, or are you one that is ready and willing to give yours away at every request of the government.

Yet, further illustration of the government and law enforcement officials violating privacy and constitutional rights (althought the U.S. Supreme Court and Texas Court of Criminal Appeals have basically ruled in favor of these blantant violation of our constitution). Let me say, that I am in no way supporting or condoning driving a motor vehicle while being intoxicated (notice how I didn’t say “drinking and driving”, since it’s not illegal to drink and drive, but to be “intoxicated” while driving), but I also don’t support the government being able to violate my rights and invade my privacy. I don’t trust the government when they stick their hands in my life or wallet, so why in the hell would I trust them when they are sticking a needle in my arm to draw blood as evidence to be used against me to prove the government’s case!!! Allow the government to keep taking away your rights and soon you want have any!
